Internal Conflicts is a War Between Mind and Body

Internal Conflict:

Internal conflict arises when there exists a divergence within one's psyche, a facet of personal identity that aspires towards a particular objective, yet encounters impediments from another facet, thwarting its endeavors to attain that objective. This condition manifests when conflicting inclinations, such as desiring and not desiring, or desiring and acting without achieving results, coexist.

Upon encountering emotionally disquieting situations, individuals, biologically predisposed to survival, experience an influx of energy in the form of emotions. These emotions are intended to facilitate the overcoming of unfavorable external circumstances, instigating actions such as breaking through, escaping, or altering the surrounding reality.

However, if an individual suppresses and retains these emotions internally, it gives rise to an internal conflict.

Reasons for the Inability of Individuals to Attain Happiness:

The unconscious mind operates without recognition of temporal distinctions like past, present, or future; it invariably resides in the present. Consider a past traumatic circumstance wherein feelings of discomfort, fear, anger, or resentment were experienced, and these emotions were not discharged. They persist within the individual as imprints or tensions in the body. This persistent emotion becomes a constant companion, elucidating why individuals carry their past negative experiences irrespective of their geographical or situational changes.

Consequently, regardless of the geographical or situational shifts individuals may undergo, they invariably carry their problems with them due to the encapsulation of their entire spectrum of experiences within.

Both positive and negative experiences contribute to the impediment of individuals in achieving happiness, as negative situations and traumatic experiences from early childhood serve as hindrances.

Illustrative Instances of Internal Conflicts:

Financial Dilemmas: The aspiration to accrue greater financial resources clashes with the apprehension of elevating prices for one's services. Questions like "What if there is a lack of consumer uptake? What if there is resistance? Is it not preferable to adhere to established practices?" arise. However, adherence to conventional methods is accompanied by discomfort and inadequacy, fostering a desire for change.

Romantic Relationships: In an existing relationship, monotony and a shortage of interest may ensue, yet the fear of separation prevails. Interrogations regarding "Where will one relocate? What will the new circumstance entail? How will one cope with solitude? Can a new partner be found?" increase, contributing to internal conflicts.

Health Predicaments: The desire to achieve weight loss contends with the reluctance to forgo indulgence in sweets, particularly during binge-eating episodes induced by loneliness or stress.

Unfulfilled Potential: The perception of possessing untapped potential, coupled with uncertainty regarding how to actualize it, engenders a sensation of living within a self-imposed enclosure.
